Foundation Females-Working on a new generation

Agassiz's Sonatina

Sonatina is a conformationally sound, well framed alpaca with solid bone structure. She has excellent character to her bright white fleece. She is an attentive mother with plenty of milk.

She was sired by Agassiz Alpacas' multi-award winning male
Almanzo,  a Pperuvian Guellermo son,  and a prominent North American herdsire having consistently produced show winners in the United States and Canada. Almanzo's dam, Bolivian Aliza, has been an excellent foundation stock breeding female for Agassiz's and has produced a number of show-quality offspring for them over the years.

Sonatina’s dam, Vanilla, is a grand-daughter of Accoyo Pperuvian Leon and Pperuvian Guellermo thus Sonatina carries those treasured Guellermo genetics on both sides of her pedigree. Vanilla’s dam, Contessa G, a Pperuvian Guellermo daughter, placed 2nd in her class at the 2000 Chinook Challenge in Calgary, Alberta.

Sonatina has given us two very nice boys, Americano's Dreamweaver in 2007 and Esplendido's Trueno Blanco in 2008.

Sonatina just gave birth on 09/24/2009 to our first FEMALE cria. At 19lbs and all white, she is sired by Jumpin Jack Flash of Cedar Ridge. Look for her page to be added to our website soon !
