About Paul & Margie
Paul was a Navy brat and traveled the world during his youth as his parents helped defend our country through their service in the Navy. He moved to Florida in 1983 after completing his service in the Coast Guard. He has been working at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the past 20 years. He was a computer engineer in the weather station where he had the opportunity of working for every single Space Shuttle Liftoff and Landing as well as many Rocket launches throughout the year that deploy satellites of varying uses. Paul "retired" to become a full time Alpaca Farmer in November 2009.
Paul has 2 children from a previous marriage. Kimberly who is married and living in Pennsylvania and Michael who was married in June 2007 and lives in Palm Bay Florida with his wife Anastasia.
Margie grew up in Massachusetts in the rural towns near Cape Cod. She moved to Florida in 1991 as part of a job move. She works from home in Technical Support for IBM and is currently working on the AT&T account doing Lotus Notes Database Administration, Support and Development. She also maintains a website for the account.
Margie also has two children from a previous marriage. Joshua who lives in Orlando Florida and works in the landscaping industry and Lindsey who lives in Massachusetts with her dad and is currently trying to find her way in the world.
Margie moved to the farm in Kentucky in May of 2008 while Paul remained in Florida to sell their home there. It was a very long 18 months before that happened and during that time building up the farm was at a snail's pace. After Paul arrived permanently in November 2009 he took on the barn and fence work on a full time basis so that the alpacas could come home at last.
Paul and Margie are raising Lindsey's daughter who was born on January 7, 2005. Alexis is an active little girl who loves Alpaca's !!!
